28 October

During a glorious drive out of camp, with the sky the most marvellous colours, we saw plenty of puku, warthog and impala with little babies. A very large hyena loped across the Mushingashi Plain. We also saw 5 lichtenstein’s hartebeest, one with squiffy horns,  as well as a lovely herd of sable. There were about twenty five of them, with about eight young ones. They were very relaxed and just stood about. How I wished I’d had my camera.
